Welcome to the DS extension.

This club reserved for members of the darkstarlings community who own and manage a deviantart account have little use for another empty name on their watch list. the following are ways to interact and make better use of Darkstarlings on deviantart.

1: Monthly art contest: This simple feature is a friendly contest of talent and overall creativity. The criteria for artwork to be contested is merely a complete work of art that can be found in your deviant art gallery. Submissions should be linked through notes and will be voted upon by the powers that be. (jazz hands!) The deadline for each submission is the 25th of every month. This will provide you a lot of time to complete your artwork and allow the Powers time to judge appropriately and fairly. The winner will be featured by DarkStarlings, additional prize winning features are to be announced soon.

2: Art Submission: At any point that darkstarlings members wish to submit community related deviations or simply a work that would like to be seen by all, members have the availability of submitting artwork to this club. Instructions are as follows: please note to the Powers the link to your deviation(s) you would like to see placed in the DarkStarlings gallery and it will be so. -Please refrain from posting something you know is offensive. it cannot and will not be allowed.- All artwork will not be available for print from this club however, all deviations will be complimented by the name and link to the artist who is responsible for them.

3: Monthly poetry contest: The rules and criteria are essentially the same for this contest, but additional qualifications include short stories, haiku, and related works of literary eloquence. No news articles please, darkstarlings.com handles news articles already. The winner will have their literature submitted to the gallery and given a special honor to be announced at a later date.

4: Communication: Nothing is better than a little exchange of words. Always be certain to frequent DarkStarlings for contest updates and input from the Powers. And do not forget to visit darkstarlings.com, whom this was made possible by. The chatroom can be reached through irc or java and the profiles make for a means to let everyone know about yourself in style.
